Each graduate course is expected to have a minimum enrollment of 5 and a maximum of 15 candidates. The faculty workload is comprised of courses, research and creative projects, supervision of practicum and internships, coordination of Academic Areas, chairing thesis, projects and dissertation committees, and coordination of special projects (for example,\u00a0<em>UNESCO Chair in Higher Education<\/em>\u00a0[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/unitwin\/access-by-region\/europe-and-north-america\/united-states-of-america\/unesco-chair-in-higher-education-485\/\" target=\"_blank\">UNESCO-Higher Education PR Chair<\/a>],<em>CELELI<\/em>\u00a0[Center for the Study of Reading, Writing and Children\u2019s Literature;[<a href=\"http:\/\/celeli.uprrp.edu\/wp\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0CELELI<\/a>], the<em>Graduate Research Center<\/em>, among others). As part of an internal DGS policy, three credits are allocated for research, as long as the professor has a structured research project, and complies with requested reports. Academic advising is part of the regular workload of the faculty. There is no differentiation on faculty positions as it regards academic workloads.
